Our trail of destruction brings this Trail of Hope:
coathangers, buckets and bits of old rope
Towering waves in the decades to come
towering with rage about what we have done -
in the middle of the 5 oceans - the camera records
islands of plastic. The size of blue whales?
No not blue whales, but green Wales
That’s what we have done

Tell the children. Get the children
to sea for themselves
yes SEA for themselves
see the sea in its grief
and help it. How can they
put right what is wrong?
Just tell them. They’ll fix it
They’re our future
They are strong

When we’re old and decrepit
when we won’t understand
our children will be our carers
and they’ll make a stand
if we show them
by these sculptures
that there’s hope for our land
